1. Conjunction ( łącznik )
Although – chociaż
Though – chociaż + subject + verb.
Even though – nawet chociaż ( It’s stronger than although)
Examples:
a) Although it rained a lot, we enjoyed our holiday.
b) I didn’t get the job though / although I had all the necessary qualification.
c) Even though I was really tired, I couldn’t sleep. (not ‘Even I was really tired...)
My examples:
- I managed to walk to the nearest village although my foot was injured.
- I got very wet in the rain Even though I had an umbrella.
In spite of, despite – pomimo + noun In spite of football match...– Pomimo meczu.
In spite of, despite + gerund In spite of learning... – Pomimo uczenia się...
In spite of, despite the fact ( that ) + subject + verb Pomimo faktu...
